I went on an 8 day scuba trip to Cozumel Mexico earlier this month, as most of my friends and family know – I love Cozumel Mexico. This trip was bitter sweet as Andrea did not go with me this time, I realize now that this was a mistake. The solution? She will just have to tag along next time
This was a good trip for a few reasons: One of my best friends was with me (Mike) and I got to dive with the instructor that initially taught me to dive – Andy and his wife Ariana.
Ariana is a talented underwater photographer and took around 300 pictures of our dives, they are posted on my flickr page, just click on the image below to view them (sorry about the time stamps!).
One of the highlights of this trip were the twilight and night dives that we did – the Caribbean waters in pitch black are a spooky and wonderful thing – we even had a video made of this dive sequence that I will post here at a later date for everyone to view.

I don’t watch a lot of basketball, not because I don’t like the game – I just always seem to have better things to do for a few hours on any given night. A few friends of mine really enjoy watching the Spurs games so I watched the majority of the finals this year. I realized something very early in the series – LeBron James makes me want to watch basketball.
I have forever touted the statement that Jordan is the best player in NBA history, and not many people disagree with me on this – I mean come on, it’s Jordan right? Well I am not changing teams quite yet but I can definitively say that LeBron James is giving MJ a run for his money as king of the NBA throne.
Don’t get me wrong – Jordan is still the best in history at the moment but James has really come into his own this season judging by the videos I have seen and in my opinion he is still just warming up.
For all of the Spurs fans that read this blog – I still root for them and believe that they can indeed get the job done in regards to winning games. With that said, James can do this and make it happen with style, something that makes people like me want to watch basketball again.
While there, we got to see Cirque Du Sole Mystere and Zumanity – both great shows. Another highlight of this trip was seeing downtown Las Vegas, its like an older, somewhat dirtier version of the strip – it’s worth seeing once however I would not want to stay in that area for an entire trip. We got a good rate at the MGM this time and ended up in a 1st floor room near the casino, this could have been an annoyance however a set of privacy doors outside of our room blocked all casino noise so the location was great. Andrea and I both agree that MGM was the nicest hotel that we have stayed in yet, we will definitely be back.
We rented a car this time in order to visit Hoover Dam and downtown Vegas. Hoover Dam was great – I have always wanted to visit, Andrea had seen it once before with her family but she too enjoyed this visit.
All in all this was a great trip and we can’t wait to go back
