I was finally issued a laptop from work – now I can take my work home with me with ease! (Yay!)
Vendor: Dell
Make: Latitude D610
Specs:
Monitor: 15’
Processor: 1.8Ghz Pentium M
Hard Drive: 40GB
RAM: 512MB DDR
Video: 128MB Shared
OS: Windows XP Home
My thoughts:
While this is definitely NOT a gaming notebook (after all it IS for work), I do like the small size and long battery life (around 4 hours). The keyboard and integrated mouse are a little “cheap feeling however I will mostly use it on a docking station at work so these two things will only be a minor annoyance. Speaking of the docking station, it has connections for a VGA and DVI monitor however the DVI is a straight digital and I don’t have a digital monitor at work. You would think that I could just convert the connection to a VGA however because the DVI is a digital only port you can’t, probably because Dell wants you to buy one of their overpriced digital monitors.
All in all it’s a great little notebook and best of all it did not cost me a dime.

I recently got to visit New York for a customer event my company was holding there, it was my first visit to the Big Apple and while I was only there for 3 days I tried to make the most of it! Needless to say, I got very little sleep but I also had a great time.
Andrea and I will definitely be going back for vacation, the city is simply amazing – it’s just like in the movies. I took 199 pictures while I was there, many from the top of Rockefeller Center on their “Top of the Rock tour.
Enjoy the pictures (click here to see them all)
